Slim Swindles studied under Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and David Allan Coe. While these men enjoyed long, successful careers under the intense stress of nonstop touring, heavy stimulants, and troubled romances, Slim did NOT enjoy the ride.

The gigs were few, the crowds were sparse, and the women were transactional.

But if you're looking for a true outlaw, that's what you want: someone who never had a damn smile on his face the whole time he was doing it.
